These have been a staple in the blogging industry for as long as I've been around (15 years). I think these are great to get followers hanging IRL with creators and their community.
"They create occasion around what might otherwise be a routine purchase and turn shopping into something participatory, social, and worth showing up for." I love this point because it took me back to being a teenager or in college with my friends and going to the mall. While I enjoy shopping alone shopping with people I love or meeting new people to connect with over a shared intrest is fun! Add in candles, snacks and shopping and we have the making of some memories and purchases.
